CI donates shoes to victims of the recent earthquakes in Haiti

Offenders are shown here at the Correctional Industries warehouse in Tumwater, sorting through and packaging over 3,500 pairs of shoes. These shoes were gathered from within the state's correctional system, to be delivered to victims of the recent earthquakes in Haiti. This shoe drive began when aid worker Molly Hightower, daughter of Service Steel Aerospace General Manager, Mike Hightower, was fatally wounded in the Haitian quakes. Ms. Hightower lived and worked in Haiti, through aid organization "Friends of the Orphans," which has been organizing aid campaigns in Latin America and the Caribbean
